Construction Support

What you get: Petram is your trusted partner during construction. We’ll work on your behalf to minimize worry, distraction, and miscommunication as your plans become reality.

Quantity Surveying

  • We will develop a Bill of Quantities describing the amount of material or construction activity needed as part of your construction project. This can be used for planning or the bidding process.

Bid Support

  • We will develop and issue bid documents, vet potential contractors, and recommend which contractor to hire for your project.

Value Engineering

  • We will work as an intermediary between the designer and contractor to identify design changes that can be made to save time or money without significantly affecting the function of the facility.

Building Permit Support

  • We will develop documentation or plans required to obtain building permits from the local authorities.

Contract Administration

  • We will review contract documents, invoices and change orders to ensure that resources are managed well during construction.

Owner’s Engineer

  • We will represent your interests in any changes or disputes, and advise you on the technical impacts of decisions.

Construction Management

  • We will facilitate regular meetings between the owner, designer and contractor to coordinate schedule and costs during construction, including resolving changes needed or disputes.

QC and Inspections

  • We will visit the construction site regularly to check that the quality of construction matches what is expected and agreed.

Construction Engineering

  • We will design elements such as scaffolding, formwork, and lifting plans needed during construction to aid the contractor and promote a safe worksite.

Shop/Fabrication Drawings

  • We will produce drawings with additional fabrication detail to aid the contractor during construction, such as rebar bending schedules, or plumbing and wiring layouts.

As-Built Drawings

  • We will inspect and survey a facility to document the actual conditions for use in future additions, planning, and maintenance.
